When I spotted this light peach saree on social media, I halted and immediately pressed ‘Buy’ button! Wasn’t this the color I was always looking for? I couldn’t wait to lay my hands over it and then drape… I love everything cotton. This was the simplest, the most soothing, the finest colored drape I had laid my eyes on in a long time. And it arrived…and what’s more?! with a stitched blouse!!
It has a real green piping all around the saree and really doesn’t need a fall attached. It pekoed with no raw edges. The day I received it on my doorstep, I had to go watch a play and who else?! A play written by Manav Kaul!! I instantly decided to wear it, and the sight was really to behold! I’m not a narcissist but honestly, I loved the reflection I saw on the mirror. And off I hurried out with the fruity colored saree on a bright sunny day in Bombay… feeling all indulged,graceful in an exquisite kind of way! ❤️ I loved the heads that I turned that day and garnered all the admiring looks that came my way! An anecdote to remember indeed, because the day was eventful and memorable to me on many different levels. So, thankyou, House of Anecdotes, for making such beauties available to people like me. It’s a prized possession truly, which will hold an eternal space in my wardrobe of classiest cotton drapes! ☺️
